MARK ETESON

Mark Eteson is carving his own chunk out of the global dance scene. When someone with such ferocious musical talent (both behind the decks and in the studio),    complete and utter enthusiasm, a steely dedication to his art and a happy go lucky likeable personality comes along, you just know something very special is about to    happen. With Godskitchen announcing Mark as their new resident back in March 2006, after he had consistently played stunning warm-up sets and final sets for them    throughout the past year, it's a sign that this young mans talent is too great to be ignored. The likes of Armin, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, and Judge Jules, are already noting    that Mark Etesons DJ skills are superb, so his new Godskitchen residency is something to savour.

But it's not just when he's behind the decks that Mark is getting euphoric reactions from audiences. He has quietly been building up an arsenal of productions and remixes    that are being snapped up and supported by the worlds finest DJs. Paul van Dyk championed Mark's very first release Atlantic, playing it on all sides of the globe, in two of    his Essential Mixes and placing it in his Mixmag Chart. Judge Jules has consistently been a supporter of his tracks as well as playing Marks bootleg "Cherry Whip" a    stunning 6 weeks running on his Saturday night dance show. Marks insatiable studio creativity doesn't end there. With an ever growing list of productions as well as    teaming up with other nu-breed producers such as Paul Moelands and Sean Tyas, and remixes (check DT8’s classic Destination on Mondo, and Li Kwan’s “Point Zero” on    Darey Products) winning support and respect from his peers, as they appear, its going to be hard to ignore Mark Eteson in 2008.

Already, Mark Eteson's DJ and production skills have been utilized by Godskitchen. Mark mixed his first album for the super brand at the same studios used by Eddie    Halliwell for his latest “Bosh” compilation and PvD’s new Cream Ibiza. Godskitchen Trance Anthems was released over Xmas 2007 and has sold in excess of 20,000    copies. Following this, Mark was asked to record Godskitchen’s first residents CD – Godskitchen Underground – proving the faith and confidence they have in him, which    was released in early May. The album shows Mark is an extremely versatile DJ, taking listeners on a journey from funky progressive at 128bpm through filthy dirty    basslines, techy, vocal and driving, all the way to euphoric trance at the end at 138bpm.

Marks eclectic and intelligent blend of so many genres of EDM from the dirty gritty electro, through warm melodic progressive and all the way up to his trademark powerful    and energetic trance has taken him travelling all over the world. Highlights so far have been playing the main stage at Hi-Fi Festival; closing the main arena of the    Godskitchen arena at Global Gathering after Judge Jules, (which has earnt him the same set again this year), flying to Shanghai, China to play in Club BonBon, DJing on a    cruise ship up the coast of Sweden and down to Estonia, Global Gatherings in Russia, Ukraine and Poland, and playing to a crowd of just under 1 million people through    the streets of Zurich at 15th anniversary of the Street Parade.

Mark Eteson, a future hero? It might well be worth a trip to the bookies before everyone catches on.
